Inspired by her family, Katy has dedicated her career to helping clients protect their financial futures. Passionate about empowering her clients to make a difference in the world through their investments, she customizes portfolios reflecting their values and impact missions. Educating her clients and delivering full transparency into the investment process is a core commitment for Katy.
Katy joined Morgan Stanley in 2009 as an equity research analyst, evaluating stock ideas and assessing industry trends across all sectors. In 2015 she launched and was promoted to lead analyst of the Sustainable Impact Portfolio, which invests in companies demonstrating superior environmental, social and governance records; and solutions to sustainability challenges such as climate change, food shortages, health & wellness, and water scarcity. Her expertise in the field of socially responsible investing has been recognized by various publications and environmental organizations.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and statistics from New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a Gates Millennium Scholar (GMS). Katy is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
As a mentor with the GMS Alumni Association for more than a decade, she has helped scores of underrepresented young scholars access higher education and career development opportunities. A strong proponent of diversity and inclusion, Katy is an active member in Morgan Stanley’s Diversity Council, Women’s Business Alliance and Asian Employee Network.
