CFA SOCIETY BOSTON ANNOUNCES 2023—2024 BOARD OFFICERS AND NEW DIRECTORS
Sarah Samuels, CFA, CAIA Elected Board Chair

BOSTON – July 5, 2023 – CFA Society Boston is pleased to announce its newly elected board officers and directors for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

Sarah Samuels, CFA, CAIA was elected to the position of chair. Ms. Samuels is a partner at NEPC and oversees the firm’s investment managers research teams across public equities and credit, hedge funds and private markets. Prior to joining NEPC, she was managing director at Wellesley College, where she was responsible for the investment of the College’s endowment, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection across private markets, public markets, and hedge funds.
 
Earlier in Ms. Samuels career, she was the deputy chief investment officer at Mass PRIM, where she chaired the internal Investment Committee and oversaw asset allocation, investment research, and manager selection. Ms. Samuels led the portfolio management of the $45 billion public markets and hedge fund portfolios, including US equities, developed international equities, emerging market equities, frontier equities, treasuries, inflation-linked bonds, credit, and emerging markets debt. She regularly presented investment recommendations, asset allocation, and portfolio management strategy to the Investment Committee and Board and was a member of the four-person Executive Management Team tasked with strategic planning and management of the organization. Samuels also worked as an associate portfolio manager at Boston Advisors and in a variety of roles at Wellington Management Company.

The following CFA Society Boston members have been elected to serve on the board’s executive committee. Asha Mehta, CFA, new vice chair, is Managing Partner & CIO at Global Delta Capital. She was previously a Lead Portfolio Manager on Acadian's quantitatively managed strategies.  Keon T. Holmes, CFA, has been elected Secretary, where he will oversee the membership engagement and development for the society. Mr. Holmes is a Managing Director in Cambridge Associates’ Boston office. Andrew Tubman, CFA, was re-elected to the position of Treasurer. Mr. Tubman is managing director, Endowments and Foundations Strategy at Wellington Management and is responsible for identifying, sharing, and acting upon the major trends occurring within the endowment and foundation marketplace. Rounding out the new slate of CFA Society Boston officers is William D. Krause, CFA, Chair, Education and Programs. Mr. Krause is a Senior Portfolio Manager in Northern Trust’s Wealth Management practice.

Three members have been re-elected to serve additional terms as board directors. They are Jennifer K. DeSisto CFA, CAIA, Chief Investment Officer of Anchor Investment Capital Advisors LLC.; Patrick C. Gregory, CFA, Managing Director of the Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance, the Director of the Babson College Fund, and a Senior Lecturer in the Finance Division at Babson College; and Sri Krishnamurthy, CFA, CAP, founder of QuantUniversity, a data and quantitative analysis company. Two new members have been elected to serve as board directors, Tiffany Hu, CFA, a Managing Director at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) and head of SSGA’s Vendor Management; and Kashif Siddiqui, CFA, Chief Investment Officer at CRICO, the patient safety and medical malpractice insurance organization owned by the Harvard Medical community.  Visit the CFA Society Boston website for a complete listing of society board members and bios.
