CFA SOCIETY BOSTON ANNOUNCES 2018—2019 BOARD OFFICERS AND NEW DIRECTORS

BOSTON – June 11, 2018 – CFA Society Boston is pleased to announce its newly elected officers and board directors. The election took place on June 7 at the Society’s 2018 Annual Meeting.
Erinn R. King, CFA, was elected to the position of chair. Ms. King is a principal at Payden & Rygel. Based in the firm’s Boston office, King is responsible for client relations and business development for East Coast and global clients. She also serves as a liaison to the firm’s London office and the Metzler/Payden joint-venture. Prior to joining Payden & Rygel, King was a vice president at Wellington Management Company, LLP, where she held roles in fixed-income portfolio communications and insurance relationship management. King also worked for Concordia Capital LLC prior to joining Wellington. King joined CFA Society Boston in 2005 and as a member of the board since 2013, King has served as CFA Society Boston's vice chair and chair of education and programs.
The following CFA Society Boston members have been elected to serve on the board’s executive committee. Michael G. Trotsky, CFA, new vice chair, is the executive director of PRIM. Mr. Trotsky joined CFA Society Boston in 1992 and has served on the board since 2013. Leah M. Hirshfield, CFA, has been re-elected as secretary. Hirshfield is director of investment risk at Wells Fargo. She has been a CFA Society Boston member since 2009 and served as co-chair of the Young Leaders Committee from 2014—2015. Susan E. Farris, CFA, re-elected to the position of treasurer, is a senior relationship manager with CIBC Atlantic Trust. She joined CFA Society Boston in 2007 and became a board member in 2014. Rounding out the new slate of CFA Society Boston officers is Brent Bell, CFA, FRM, the new chair of education and programs. Mr. Bell is vice president of State Street Global Advisors and a member of SSGA's Investment Solutions Group (ISG), has been a CFA Society Boston board member since 2015, and a member of CFA Society Boston since 2006.
Two members have been elected as new board directors. They are Sarah N. Samuels, CFA, CAIA, managing director at Wellesley College, where she is responsible for the investment of the College’s endowment, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection across private markets, public markets, and hedge funds, and Peter Sullivan, CFA, who was senior vice president for Liberty Mutual Investments until his retirement in April 2018.
