Let's Measure Up- and Stand Up for Equity

CFA Society Boston is committed to measuring up and supporting our communities of color adversely affected by recent tragic events. We are deeply saddened by the racial unrest that plagues our society. CFA Society Boston stands in solidarity with all who hurt and suffer as a result of systemic racism, and we are committed to continuing our work towards advancing a more inclusive and diverse investment profession.

Our mission is to promote the highest ethical standards, best practices and professional development of our community, for the benefit of clients and the broader investing public. As CFA Society Boston leaders, we know these words mean nothing without action, and it is our commitment to society – and our duty – to live these values.

We can and will do better to be an inclusive organization. We have made progress in our diversity and inclusion initiatives, but not enough. We commit to working with our members and local investment firm leaders to ensure we do more and measure up. We will start by expanding our internship program to more diverse candidates and promoting investment management to underserved communities.

We welcome member involvement as we strive to effect change and measure up. Our goal is to build a better world for investors, and it starts now.
