Roger Ferguson

President and Chief Executive Officer, TIAA (2008-2021)

Topic: The Economy in a Post-Covid World, Leading in Crisis and Beyond

Join CFA Society Boston for our signature event featuring Roger Ferguson, President and CEO of TIAA from 2008-2021 and former Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the U.S. Federal Reserve System. Roger Ferguson has long focused on financial well-being and security, most recently leading the 17,000 employees of financial services provider TIAA which manages $1.3 trillion in assets through a shift to remote work during a pandemic and the racial reckoning following George Floyd’s death. Roger led TIAA staying true to their values and came through these series of crises as a financially strong and stable company with ample capital. Previously as vice chairman of the Federal Reserve for nearly 10 years, Roger steered the country's economy through the massive financial aftershock of September 11. Roger will address leadership in a crisis, both post-covid and in the midst and beyond the headlines of today. Brent Bell, CFA Society Boston Chair, will engage with Roger in a fireside chat.

COVID-19 Policy and Safety Protocols
To protect the well being of our members and guests, the Omni Hotel Boston at the Seaport and CFA Society Boston will act in accordance with CDC guidelines, state, and local directives. As guidelines are constantly evolving and in the best interest of all attendees, CFA Society Boston is requiring that all guests submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival at the event. CFA Society Boston is collecting vaccination proof/proof of negative test results in advance of the Market Dinner via CrowdPass. CrowdPass is a 3rd party HIPAA-compliant platform with built-in privacy and security protocols. Click here for FAQ about CrowdPass. Registrants will receive instructions on how to submit proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of arrival at the event (5:30 PM ET on March 31, 2022), deadlines for submission, and any additional information after registration has been completed. Firms purchasing sponsorships and/or tables that include multiple guests, please note that all guests must submit their proof of vaccination OR negative COVID-19 test result no later than Wednesday, March 30th. Due to COVID-19 safety protocols guest tickets are not transferable. Those that fail to successfully submit a Health Screening form with proof of vaccination OR negative COVID-19 test result by this deadline will not be granted access to the event. Refunds are not permitted for individuals who fail to submit a form with proof of vaccination OR negative COVID-19 test result by this deadline.

All attendees, regardless of vaccination status, are strongly encouraged to wear masks unless eating or drinking. In addition to following all protocols we are limiting the 2022 Annual Market Dinner to 350 attendees and tables will be set to a maximum of 8 guests rather than 10-12 as done in previous years. The Omni Hotel Boston at the Seaport is a brand new hotel and offers the best in air filtration and circulation.

CFA Society Boston will not permit attendees that are openly displaying signs of illness to enter the event or remain at it. Guests should not attend if they are sick, have been sick within the day leading up to the event, or are considered a close contact of someone diagnosed with COVID-19.

Please note the society is keeping an ever watchful eye on the situation and the ever changing guidelines. Should the City of Boston pivot to re-active the vaccine mandate or activate a new mandate the society will act in accordance with the guidelines and notify registrants as needed. Should the Market Dinner and keynote need to pivot to a virtual offering the society has the steps in place to do so and will notify registrants accordingly.

By registering to attend, registering to sponsor, and/or accepting an invitation to attend the CFA Society Boston Annual Market Dinner on March 31, 2022 at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport all attendees agree to release and hold harmless CFA Society Boston, their respective employees, agents, and representatives, from and against any claims, damages or expenses arising from the event, including claims arising from contracting or spreading communicable disease while traveling to or participating in the event.
