Who’s Advising Next Generation Investors?

Tik Tok stock tips, YouTube yield ideas? Social media and “finfluencers” are disrupting the investment advice market. GenZ and Millennial investors are a growing force of digitally savvy players in financial markets. Family, friends and, most of all, social media top their lists of information sources. Financial professionals and companies—not so much.

As Next Generation investors come into their own in the work force and begin inheriting Boomer generation wealth, their investing habits will drive the fortunes of financial service companies. Understanding how they invest and why will be critical for advisors as markets evolve.

Join us for a virtual discussion of Next Generation investors, featuring CFA Institute’s Ryan Munson and Gary Mottola from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation on Wednesday, April 24th 12:00 12:00 - 1:00pm.

They will share insights from recent CFA Institute/FINRA research on what motivates GenZ and Millennial investors, what they invest in, and how important education and financial literacy may be to connecting with this group.
