Understanding the Cannabis Investment Landscape:  Perspectives from Investors, Regulators, and Entrepreneurs

Description
The landscape for the cannabis business has seen a dramatic shift over the past several years, with more states legalizing medicinal and recreational use, and the federal government inching closer to nationwide decriminalization.  While legal issues surrounding cannabis use still remain rather tangled, capital continues to flow into firms within this growing industry, even attracting major consumer staple companies as investors.

Our goal with this program is to understand the landscape of the cannabis business, where investors and entrepreneurs see opportunities and risks, while also hearing a regulator’s point of view on how the industry can expand while protecting the safety of consumers and fostering opportunities to communities that have been harmed by the impacts of prohibition.
