Please join us for CFA Society Boston's Fourth Annual GIPS Standards Forum. This event will provide an opportunity for all Boston area- based investment professionals to network and discuss the 2020 GIPS® standards, a global industry standard for the measurement and presentation of investment performance results. The GIPS standards have been adopted by over 1,700 organizations in over 40 countries. Participants will hear about how Boston area firms have been gearing up to implement the 2020 GIPS standards and will have the opportunity to discuss items of interest.

Daryl Bradford, CFA, CIPM, Senior Vice President, Director of Performance & Attribution, Acadian Asset Management
Daryl Bradford, CFA, CIPM, is a Senior Vice President, Director of Performance & Attribution at Acadian Asset Management. In this capacity, he leads a team whose responsibilities include the generation, integrity and interpretation of performance and attribution reporting, risk metrics, portfolio analytics, and oversight of the firm's GIPS compliance program. Prior to joining Acadian in 2007, Daryl spent three years in accounting and client service roles at State Street Corporation. Daryl graduated from Stonehill College with a BS in Finance, earned a Masters in Finance from Suffolk University, and holds an MBA with a concentration in investments from Northeastern University. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society Boston. Daryl serves on the United States Investment Performance Committee (USIPC), and is a frequent conference speaker on the topics of performance and attribution analysis. He received The Journal of Performance Measurement's 2017 Dietz Award for excellence in performance measurement literature.
Kristina Mihaylova, CFA, Lead Performance Manager, Mellon Investments Corporation
Kristina Mihaylova is a Lead Performance Manager at Mellon Investments. Her main responsibilities are focused on achieving and maintaining the firm's claim of GIPS compliance.
Previously she spent 8 years at StatPro, a cloud based provider of performance, analytics and risk solutions for the asset management industry. There she worked with clients of various sizes on helping them improve their processes through better use of technology. She led and completed successfully numerous performance and GIPS implementation projects, ranging from implementing a composites system for the first time to building complex outsourced solutions for fund administrators. Prior to that she spent 3 years at NEPC as a performance analyst on the endowment and foundations team of the company.
Kristina is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA from Suffolk University in Boston. She completed her Bachelor's degree in her native Bulgaria.
Michael W. McGrath, CFA, Partner K&L Gates LLP
Michael McGrath is a partner in the firm's Boston office. He practices in the areas of investment management, securities, and commodities law, including the representation of institutional investment firms, registered investment companies, private equity and hedge funds.
Mr. McGrath counsels SEC, CFTC, NFA, and FINRA regulation. His practice is focused on helping financial institutions design their compliance programs, supporting trading and investment management issues including best execution, soft dollars, control of nonpublic information, and derivatives trading, and assisting with SEC and NFA staff examinations.
Mr. McGrath also has extensive experience counseling clients on regulatory matters that relate to strategic business decisions, including: transactional, regulatory, and operational issues arising from mergers and reorganizations of investment funds and their investment advisers; optimal corporate and operational structures related to affiliated investment managers, cross- border operations, and joint ventures; the development of novel alternative investment strategies and the offering of such strategies through various types of investment vehicles; and emerging regulatory issues related to crowdfunding, social media, cybersecurity, and financial technology. Mr. McGrath is a CFA charterholder.
Kristen Murray, Vice President, Performance Manager, Wellington Management
As the GIPS team manager within Performance, Kristen has ten years of oversight responsibilities with respect to the firm's policies and procedures for compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®), including composite management and analysis. She works closely with the Investment Products and Strategies Group, Legal and Compliance, and the Global Relationship Group to interpret new guidance statements and address client solutions. Kristen is a member of the firm's GIPS Working Group, GIPS Oversight Group and New Product Working Group.
Kristen joined the firm in 2005 as a trust administration analyst overseeing the Wellington Trust Company pools until 2010. Prior to joining Wellington Management, she held a variety of fund accounting positions within State Street Corporation. Kristen earned her BA in economics from the University of Rhode Island.
Greta Nathan, Performance Practice Leader, Fairview Performance Services
Greta has over 20 years of industry experience and has performed GIPS® verification and consulting services in each of her previous positions. She was most recently with ACA Performance Services, where she worked with some of the firm's largest, most complex global clients. Previously, Greta spent ten years working at Vincent Performance Services LLC, where she provided tailored training to clients and assisted in development of the verification process and testing procedures. Prior to VPS, Greta worked at CAPS, Inc. where she provided assistance with product development, product implementation, historical data transfers, and clients' compliance issues. Greta began her career as an Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, providing audit and other services to a range of investment management firms. Currently, she volunteers for CFA Institute and serves on the United States Investment Performance Committee (USIPC).
Megan Piarulli, Senior Performance Consultant Fidelity Investments
Megan Piarulli is a senior performance consultant in the Fund and Investment Operations division at Fidelity Investments. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries, and individuals.
In this role, Ms. Piarulli oversees the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) program and works with auditors on an annual basis to ensure that multiple firms are following GIPS rules when reporting to prospective clients. Additionally, she manages the creation and maintenance of reports in systems tools in order to deliver formatted reporting efficiently and accurately.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Piarulli was a senior performance analyst in Fidelity's Investment Operations Performance Services group, responsible for working with product, compliance, publishing, and legal to accurately report out composite performance for external marketing purposes. She also served as a performance analyst in Fidelity Institutional Asset Management (FIAM), and as a fund accounting manager in Fidelity Pricing and Cash Management Services (FPCMS) fund accounting.
