Join CFA Society Boston for this complimentary webinar "Communicating UP the Leadership Ladder" with Lynda Katz Wilner, MS and Susan Seber, PCC on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 from 12:00-1:15PM. How can you make your communication most valuable when communicating ‘up your ladder’? Learn strategies and tools to step into meetings and communicate with clarity and efficiency. During this interactive session, you will learn how to prepare and organize a brief meeting, prioritize information, and communicate in a manner that exudes confidence and executive presence! Breakout sessions and Q&A will be included. 

Speaker Bios

Lynda Katz Wilner, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech, language, and soft skills trainer and coach and a speech and language pathologist in the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. She is the founder and director of Successfully Speaking, a woman-owned communication consulting firm that helps individuals and teams SPEAK, SOUND, LOOK, and LISTEN like Leaders. This includes professional speaking skills, listening skills, voice improvement, foreign accent modification and regional dialect reduction for native and non-native speakers. She provides public speaking classes to individuals and organizations. Lynda’s clients are managers, scientists, executives, and employees of major corporations, IT professionals, medical healthcare professionals, clergy, emerging leaders, and any other individuals looking to improve their professional image, voice quality, speech patterns, non-verbal communication, listening and observation skills, and increase their ability to communicate effectively up, down, and across their organizations. Lynda has a master’s degree in speech and language pathology from the University of Michigan and began her career as a speech and language pathologist at a major teaching hospital. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the State of Maryland. She is a member of CHRA (Chesapeake Human Resources Association), ATD Maryland (Association of Talent Development), and a professional member of NSA (National Speakers Association). Susan Seber, PCC is an executive coach, team facilitator, and President of Purpose Zone Leadership.  She is passionate about leveraging her global leadership experience to enable others to be more purposeful and achieve their best - both on and off the job.  Susan has honed a unique blend of technical and soft skills during an extensive career in biopharmaceutical, petrochemical and consumer product industries.  She is currently working with top level government leaders; additionally, she also supports academia, industry, and private professionals.  Prior to this, she was with AstraZeneca for 12 years - her last position as Chief of Staff and Head of Business Performance for IT, with laser vision on digital strategy to improve medicine delivery to patients.  Susan held roles as Strategy and Operations Head for the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and VP Ethics and Transparency Global Sustainability, Director of Commercial Project Management and Governance Body Chief of Staff - where she partnered with C-suite and other senior executives to develop top level strategy and drive key initiatives.  Susan received her Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and Leadership Coaching Certification from Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership.  She is also a course instructor, a targeted engineering consultant, and senior intern mentor for Georgetown University’s Biotechnology MS Program.
