LIBOR to SOFR Transition

Description
Eric LeSueur and Fatima Madhany will provide an overview of the transition from U.S. dollar LIBOR to the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR).

Eric LeSueur
Senior Associate
Money Markets Directorate, New York Fed


Eric is a senior associate in the Money Markets directorate of the Markets Group at the New York Fed. In his current role, he supports various work related to the transition from U.S. dollar LIBOR, including the recent Credit Sensitivity Group workshops. Eric has worked for the New York Fed for 11 years, holding staff and managerial roles in the Money Markets and Cross-Market Monitoring and Analysis directorates. In 2018, he was seconded to the Bank of England for a year as a portfolio manager on their reserves management team. Eric has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Columbia University and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago. He is a CFA charterholder.

Fatima Madhany 
Senior Associate
ARRC Secretariat


Fatima has been working as the ARRC Secretariat since May 2020. Secretariat responsibilities include facilitating the meetings and the work of the ARRC, helping to structure and facilitate the group’s output, and ensuring that work is completed on a timely basis and in a manner appropriate for an FRBNY-sponsored group. Prior to working on the ARRC Secretariat, Fatima was a Senior Associate in the Collateral Credit Analysis division of the Discount Window function within the Markets Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. 
Prior to joining the New York Fed in 2008, Fatima worked in the private sector doing syndicated and leveraged finance and credit analysis at JPMorgan Chase, ABN Amro, and BNP Paribas. Fatima has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University with a major in Finance and a minor in Psychology.
