Join CFA Society Boston for a panel discussion on all things Fintech. This will be an interactive session for participants to learn about the importance of Fintech in today's environment from two industry veterans. The panel topics include:

Speaker Bios

Sarah Biller, Executive Director, Vantage Ventures  
Sarah Biller is the Executive Director of Vantage Ventures.  She is also the co-Founder of FinTech Sandbox, a Boston-based not for profit that provides entrepreneurs access to high quality data sets and accelerates the adoption of innovative ideas in Financial Services. Previously, Sarah co-founded Capital Market Exchange, a predictive analytics platform for institutional bond investors that utilized unstructured data, sentiment, NLP, machine learning and AI and Bayesian Estimation techniques to predict credit spread changes and served as its President. She was most recently the Chief Operating Officer for Innovation at State Street Bank’s Global Exchange division and Head of Innovation Ventures.  

Sarah was named by Innovate Finance as one of the Top 150 global women leaders in FinTech and Lattice80’s list of Top 100 Women in FinTech in the UK and Hong Kong. She sits on the board of multiple FinTech start-ups and has also held roles at Fidelity Investments; worked on MCI’s corporate venture team; and launched and led research divisions for Fortune 500 CFO’s and treasurers at the Corporate Executive Board. 

Mark Casady, Co-Founder, Vestigo Ventures LLC 
Mark Casady co-founded Vestigo Ventures, LLC in 2015 with a focus on financing start-ups in FinTech. He is general partner and chairman of the advisory board. Mr. Casady is a member of the board of Horace Mann Corporation. He is a former member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Board of Governors. He is also a former board member of Citizens Financial Group, Jobcase, Inc. and the EZE Software Group.  

Mr. Casady retired as LPL Financial CEO in early January 2017 and as a non-executive chairman of the board in early March 2017. During his tenure, he guided LPL to become a leading financial services organization that serves independent financial advisors, banks, and credit unions and provides clearing services to broker/dealers at financial services companies. Before joining LPL Financial in 2002, Mr. Casady was managing director of the mutual fund group for Deutsche Asset Management, Americas — formerly Scudder Kemper Investments. Prior to Scudder, he held roles at Concord Financial Group, which was a start-up funded by Hambrecht & Quist prior to going public. He started his career at Northern Trust. 

Additionally, Mr. Casady is treasurer of the Casady family’s One Step Forward Education Foundation, which focuses on changing the lives of children around the globe through education. He also helped found and fund the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation, which recognizes the philanthropic activity of financial advisors. Mr. Casady received a BS from Indiana University and an MBA from DePaul University. 

Manasi Vora, VP of Strategy and Operations, Skynet 
Manasi Vora is the VP of Strategy and Operations at Skynet, a Boston-based blockchain startup backed by Bain Capital Ventures. She is also the Founder of Women in Blockchain Boston with a mission to lower the barrier to entry in the blockchain industry for underrepresented minorities. Prior to joining Skynet, Manasi conducted research at the MIT Media Lab's Digital Currency Initiative and was the Director of MIT Bitcoin Expo. She held multiple roles in banking and investment management before moving into the blockchain industry.
